racCONTA LA MONTAGNA: the fourth edition has ended. Watch the recordings!

The fourth edition of racCONTA LA MONTAGNA, the literary review dedicated to non-fiction and fiction that highlights the cultural and evocative power of the mountains, ended on May 26th. Each work was presented in an afternoon meeting at UNIMONT, in a conversation between the author, 32 students and participants connected through the virtual classroom.

This year the event racCONTA LA MONTAGNA was once again a great success, involving students of the UNIMONT Undergraduate Course in Improvement and Protection of Mountain Environments in an interdisciplinary process of acquiring awareness of the resources of the mountains of Lombardy and Italy in general. The students, after careful reading and discussion of the book, conversed with the author in a participatory presentation.

Due to the pandemic in progress, the 2020/2021 edition took place entirely online through the Zoom platform and was disseminated through the Antenna network, i.e. a group of bodies, institutions, schools and universities that disseminate and stream the contents proposed by UNIMONT. All the meetings have been recorded and are available on-demand on the UNIMONT YouTube channel, within a dedicated playlist.

7 books were presented from October 2020 to May 2021:

  • 21 October 2020 Mia Sconosciuta by Marco Albino Ferrari
  • 25 November 2020 Fronte Scavo by Sara Loffredi
  • December 16, 2020 Il grande libro del ghiaccio by Enrico Camanni
  • February 17, 2021 La Terra dopo di noi by Telmo Pievani

  • 21 April 2021 L’abbraccio selvatico delle Alpi by Franco Michieli

Due to the impossibility of holding meetings in person, it was not possible to organize the usual aperitif based on local products. However, during the meetings the Consortium for the Protection of I.G.T. wines of Valcamonica, the Consortium for the Protection of Silter Cheese and the “Mais Nero Spinoso” Association were able to present their activities and the fundamental role they play in the protection and promotion of mountain food and wine specialities.

The meetings took place with the contribution of the Lombardy Region, Cariplo Foundation, AEM Foundation, Federbim, Cassa Rurale Val di Sole, Consortium for the Protection of I.G.T. wines Valcamonica, Consortium for the Protection of Silter Cheese, “Mais Nero Spinoso” Association and the patronage of the Valle Camonica Cultural District, Sistema Bibliotecario Bresciano, Municipality of Edolo.
