HOW TO BUILD A SUCCESSFUL INCUBATOR ECOSYSTEM IN THE ALPINE SPACE? THE POWER OF NETWORKS

 The EUSALP Action Group 1 – Research and Innovation – Lead by Professor Anna Giorgi representative of Lombardy Region – aims to foster networking and capitalization of experiences among Universities, Research Centers, Incubators, Accelerators and Technology Transfer Hubs, in order to develop an effective research and innovation ecosystem in the Alpine area.

For this purpose the Action Group 1 in collaboration with the Ministry of Science, Research and Arts Baden-Württemberg and the International Lake Constance University (IBH), have organized a workshop to promote networking among private and public actors of R&D, from different geographical areas of the Alpine Region.

The workshop focuses on capitalizing best practices, such as the network of the International Lake Constance University (IBH) composed of 30 Universities located in Austria, Germany, Liechtenstein and Switzerland, promoting research to improve innovation processes on the territories.

In order to enhance the interaction among some of the main innovation actors of the Alpine Region, the workshop sees DG CONNECT’s (European Commission) contribution concerning digital innovation, followed by speeches from the AG1 stakeholders – Joint Research Centre and Alpine Space Program. Furthermore, some interesting R&D experiences from Italy, France and Slovenia will be presented.
