UNIMONT and Italian Alpine Club: teaming up for the mountains

The collaboration between UNIMONT, a center of excellence of the University of Milan, and the Italian Alpine Club has consolidated over the years. Recently, this partnership has given rise to two important events. The first was the presentation, by the Italian Alpine Club, of the Villaggio degli Alpinisti in the Lozio Valley, a European recognition that will promote the sustainable development of the area. The second was the visit of the General President of the Italian Alpine Club to UNIMONT where new collaboration prospects and the renewal of the agreement with the University of Milan were discussed.

The collaboration between UNIMONT, a center of excellence of the University of Milan, and the Italian Alpine Club, has consolidated over the years. Recently this partnership has given rise to two important events.

At UNIMONT on Thursday 4th April the first Villaggio degli Alpinisti in the Lombardy Region was presented by the CAI: the Lozio Valley. This important European recognition will lead the Alpine municipality to work, in coming years, for the sustainable development of its territory through experiments and investments linked to agriculture and tourism. Watch the recording of the event here.

On Friday 5th April, Antonio Montani, General President of the Italian Alpine Club, visited the UNIMONT headquarters accompanied by Laura Colombo, General Vice President of the Italian Alpine Club, Enrico Sala, Vice President of Italian Alpine Club Lombardy, and Franco Capitanio, Central Councilor. The meeting was an opportunity to discuss the renewal of the Agreement between the University of Milan and the Italian Alpine Club and to think together about existing collaboration and future plans.
