A floristic-vegetational analysis of a burned area of the Bergamasque Prealps was carried out in order to understand the effects of fire on vegetation. The results showed that the post-fire community contains many species (some of which are endemic) belonging to the Festuco valesiacae-Brometea erecti and FestucoSeslerietea classes that were not present before the incident and that represent the vegetation’s adaptation to the new ecological conditions of the area.
