The “L’Altramontagna” Festival draws to a close: an opportunity for networking and building new relationships for UNIMONT

In Brentonico, the information stand of the UNIMONT Hub of the University of Milan offered visitors an insight into its educational programs, with a focus on the MOUNTAINSIDE Master’s Degree, as well as its research and third mission activities.

The days spent at the L’Altramontagna Festival “Il Fiore del Baldo” in Brentonico were a valuable opportunity to engage with the local community and visitors arriving from various regions.

The exhibition space dedicated to the UNIMONT Hub of the University of Milan served as a meeting point to showcase research, third mission, and educational activities, with a special focus on the international MOUNTAINSIDE Master’s Degree. During conversations with visitors, the theme of biodiversity emerged strongly, a topic that has always been central to the local population. Indeed, the festival itself was created to recover and build upon the legacy of the historic scientific exhibition “Il Fiore del Baldo”, which in the 1970s and 1980s highlighted Monte Baldo as a true European biodiversity hotspot.

These days have been an experience that confirms the vital importance of building networks and relationships for the future of mountain areas.

Applications are now open for the MOUNTAINSIDE Master’s Degree for the A.Y. 2026/2027!
