New to UNIMONT’s training offer for the 2022\/2023 academic year, the Master’s Degree Course “Valorization and Sustainable Development of Mountain Areas<\/a>” \u2013 MOUNTAINSIDE, has met with great success from Italian and international students enthusiastic about the multidisciplinary and “glocal” approach which allowed them to get in touch with both international experts and the local community.<\/i><\/p>\n

During the first year of lessons, the students of the MOUNTAINSIDE Master’s Degree course took part in the\u00a0workshop “The challenges of social innovation in rural and mountain areas”<\/b>\u00a0<\/a>led by\u00a0Professor Emeritus Bill\u00a0<\/b><\/a>Slee<\/b><\/a>\u00a0<\/a>(The James Hutton Institute<\/b><\/a>)\u00a0<\/a>and followed\u00a0lessons of applied ecological research<\/b><\/a>\u00a0<\/b><\/a>held by\u00a0Visiting Professor Bernat Claramut<\/b><\/a>\u00a0(Autonomous University of Barcelona –\u00a0CREAF<\/b><\/a>).<\/p>\n

Prof. Giorgi concluded: “The multidisciplinary approach, the interaction with international experts and the mountain setting have made this course of study\u00a0an avant-garde educational opportunity\u00a0<\/b>capable of training, through a modern and global vision, expert professionals in the field of valorisation and sustainable development of mountain areas.”<\/i><\/p>\n
