UNIMONT participated in “Strachítunt: synergies and strategies for the ethical future of the territory”

Professor Anna Giorgi of the UNIMONT Centre of the University of Milan – DISAA Department presented a speech entitled “Mountains ‘at the centre’: towards a new and specific vision for the sustainable future of mountain territories” in which she described the experience and the role played by the UNIMONT Centre in promoting the development processes of mountain territories.

The event “Strachítunt: synergies and strategies for the ethical future of the territory” will be held on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th November 2022 in Val Taleggio (BG) during which Professor Anna Giorgi of the UNIMONT Centre of the University of Milan intervene – DISAA Department will also be speaking.

The event is aimed at entrepreneurs, teachers, researchers, students, representatives of consortia, administrations, associations, citizens and people directly and indirectly involved in the field of economic and social sustainability in the mountains and in contexts far from large production centres, at a global and local level. The invitation to participate is for all those interested in learning more about sensitive issues and in sharing content for the identification of future or current strategies and actions related to the issue.

The purpose of the event is to understand the challenges and problems faced by artisanal micro-production activities, to frame the social context in which small businesses are located and to define strategies to approach them in a more functional way in the future. At the same time, the event aims to create conditions for future collaboration, in an attempt to develop research and to shape shared projects.

Saturday 19th November, during the conference “Small production activities and the challenges of the contemporary world: which opportunities?” Professor Anna Giorgi of the UNIMONT Centre of the University of Milan will present the speech Mountains ‘at the centre’: towards a new and specific vision for the sustainable future of mountain territories” in which she will describe the experience and the role played by UNIMONT Centre in the promotion of development processes of mountain areas.
