Honey is synonymous with nature and well-being and it is therefore essential that its production is always free from possible pollution that could destroy this positive image.
The Conference presented the current situation regarding issues of environmental contaminants and pesticides and the consequences on the quality of honey and products derived through experimental work conducted and both national and international dedicated projects.
The conference was organized by the Centre of Applied Studies for the Sustainable Management and Protection of Mountain Areas Ge.s.di.mont and the Department of Veterinary Sciences for Health, Animal Production and Food Security – Vespa University of Milan with the support of APAS – Associazione Produttori Apistici of the province of Sondrio.
