Description

The conference presents some good practices for the selection and conservation of seeds of cereal (and pseudo-cereal) cultivars traditionally grown in the mountains of Lombardy. In particular, attention will be paid to the selection, treatment and conservation of small quantities of seeds (15 -150 kg), generally available to those who grow local cultivars. During the conference there will be a practical demonstration of the selection and treatment of the seeds to be used for the following year’s crops. The conference is aimed primarily at farmers potentially interested in the cultivation of traditional and local Lombard cultivars, as well as all those who intend to create new small production chains based on such cultivars.
