From 7 to 14 September 2025, a delegation from UNIMONT – University of Milan – composed that includes Prof. Anna Giorgi, head of the UNIMONT Hub of the University of Milan, Prof. Riccardo Guidetti, Director of the Department of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences – Production, Territory, Agroenergy (DISAA), and Prof. Stefano Corsi, lecturer at the University of Milan – UNIMONT Centre – will be guests of the Georgian Technical University (GTU) in Tbilisi as part of a capacity building programme supported by the Georgian Government.
The initiative is a follow-up to the visit by a GTU delegation to UNIMONT in recent months and aims to strengthen academic and scientific collaboration between the two institutions.
The visit programme includes meetings with GTU administration and departments, training sessions dedicated to course syllabuses, and participation in the inauguration ceremony for a new university laboratory. During their stay in Georgia, the delegation will also visit some important natural and cultural sites, including the Rabati Fortress, the Alpine Botanical Garden, the Algeti protected area and the Kakheti wine region, with stops at production facilities and sites of natural interest.
The visit will conclude in Tbilisi with a series of institutional meetings aimed at strengthening academic cooperation between the two institutions and promoting joint projects in the fields of research, teaching and sustainable development.
