On July 22, the award ceremony was held for the degree thesis prize promoted by the Rotary Club Lovere Iseo Breno in collaboration with Associazione Val.Te.Mo. APS. The award was aimed at master’s degree theses from the Master’s Degree in Valorization and Sustainable Development of Mountain Areas – MOUNTAINSIDE at the UNIMONT Campus of the University of Milan.
The €1,000 prize was awarded to Chiara Sesti for a thesis focused on development topics for the Valle Camonica region. The work stood out for its methodological rigor, depth of analysis, innovation, and mature vision, demonstrating sharp scientific expertise and a strong connection to local resources.

The scholarship we present today is not merely a prize, but a tangible sign of trust in the ability of young people to generate knowledge and transform it into value for the community“, declared Gian Claudio Sgabussi, President of the Rotary Club Lovere Iseo Breno. “This recognition is an invitation to believe that research and knowledge represent the highest form of civic responsibility. May this be a wish to continue nurturing a love for our mountains.”
The ceremony provided an important opportunity to reaffirm the value of collaboration between local stakeholders and the UNIMONT Campus of the University of Milan, a strategic alliance aimed at supporting the education of the next generation of researchers and turning research activities into tangible resources and sustainable development opportunities for the local community.
