Prize for the best theses regarding the so-cio-economic development of mountain areas

As part of the activities for the project for the study and design of a smart valley and a green community, prizes will be awarded for the best theses on issues related to the development of mountain areas, with particular reference to smart and green forms for the benefit of Alpine territories.

Uncem Piedmont – the Union of mountain Municipalities and Institutions – as part of the project activities for the study and design of a smart valley and a green community, supported by the CRC and CRT Foundations, is promoting a prize for the best degree theses on issues related to the development of mountain areas, with particular reference to smart and green forms for the benefit of Alpine territories.

The Award is open to students living in Piedmont and/or who have attended degree courses at one of the Universities based in Piedmont. Students must have discussed their dissertation at the conclusion of a three-year or five-year degree course or master in the period between 1st April 2016 and 15th April 2017. The Award is aimed at rewarding study activities performed for the elaboration of the thesis and to encourage graduates’ interest in research and deepening of knowledge on issues related to the development of mountain areas.

Uncem Piedmont Delegation will be providing three prizes for the theses chosen by the Selection Board,:

• 1st prize: € 500,00

• 2nd prize: € 300,00

• 3rd prize: € 200,00

• Bottega Alpe Prize: € 300,00

 

Uncem may add other awards and special mentions, also offered by public and private entities partners in the “Smart Valley and Green Community” project.
