THE UNIMONT LOGO

The UniMont Logo, symbolized by the icon, is the hallmark distinguishing all activities developed and approved by the Mountain University, both in education, such as educational programmes, training activities, and opportunities for internships and dissertations, and in research, including projects and publications.

If you wish to promote your educational and research activities you can apply for the Unimont logo by filling in the form on the page ask the portal. The Mountain University Team will reply as soon as possible, with a careful case by case assessment, providing you with the conditions and functions of the logo, so you can become part of the network of organizations, associations, and businesses engaged in the development and promotion of mountain areas.

THE PROJECT

All institutions and associations active and operating in mountain areas are invited to contribute to the development of Mountain University projects. To become a partner of the “Mountain University” fill in the form on the Contacts page explaining your request. We will soon be in touch.

All researchers and professionals expert in mountain issues are invited to take part in the development of the project and to actively contribute to the promotion of teaching and research in the mountains. If you are willing to get involved and provide your operational input to Mountain University projects, fill in the form on the Contacts page.

EDUCATION

Educational programmes, in this case, are provided by a university, and participation leads to the allocation of credits and provision of certification, such as a diploma. Such programmes therefore include:

  • undergraduate programmes;
  • postgraduate Master programmes;
  • postgraduate 1st level vocational Master programmes;
  • PhD;
  • advanced courses;
  • summer schools;
  • single courses.

Instead, training and information activities are all those activities provided by various organizations, associations, or institutions, in the form of:

  • seminars;
  • workshops;
  • conferences;
  • congresses;
  • etc.

Training activities do not necessarily lead to the allocation of credits and provision of certification.

This section of the UniMont Webportal is dedicated to researcher, experts and public bodies, interested in finding a scientific or professional partnership for projects in the mountain areas. Here you can find the existing partnership offers, and all the related useful information to start a cooperation.

The Networking service of the UniMont portal allows you to find:

  • researchers experienced in mountain issues;
  • public and private institutions and organizations which work to promote and enhance mountain areas;
  • businesses operating and located in mountain areas.

Through the search engine on the researchers networking and organizations networking pages you can select an area of ​​interest to obtain information allowing you to get in touch with leaders in the sector both in Italy and abroad.

Coaching is a service through which the UniMont portal shares useful tools and information with anyone wanting to develop a project or an initiative aimed at enhancing mountain areas. Here you can find:

  • links to access the databases of various institutions, containing the data required to carry out a research project on mountain issues;
  • advice on searching for publications in major scientific search engines;
  • information on consulting regional legislation concerning mountain areas;
  • some tutorials about starting an enterprise in the mountains.

The “Ask the portal” service allows UniMont to provide those who wish to plan an initiative or activity for the promotion of mountain areas with specifically targeted consultancy, and the opportunity to get in touch with the leading experts in mountain issues. To use the service you must fill in the appropriate form. In a short time you will be contacted by the portal, the terms and conditions will be explained and your request will be dealt with.
