First level Master in Project Management for Mountain areas: the first lessons are starting!

On Friday 18th and Saturday 19th November the first two lessons of the First Level Master in Project Management for Mountain areas organized by the UNIMONT Centre of the University of Milan were held in collaboration and with the economic support of the Department of Regional Affairs and Autonomies (DARA) of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.

The First Level Master in Project Management for Mountain areas represents one of the novelties of the training offer of the UNIMONT Centre of the University of Milan with the aim of training Expert Planners capable of interacting with the socio-economic and administrative context of mountain areas and accompanying public bodies in fundraising activities.

This first edition of the Master in Project Management for Mountain areas sees the participation of 27 students, from 7 Italian regions (Emilia Romagna, Lazio, Liguria, Lombardy, Marche, Piedmont and Veneto) and from abroad (Spain): their varied professional and educational experience will contribute to making the educational path, which will be divided into theoretical lessons, seminars and practical activities, even more enriching.

During the first two lessons, held remotely, Doctor Massimo Pecci (Department of Regional Affairs and Autonomies of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers) and Doctor Luca Giupponi (University of Milan – UNIMONT Centre) presented the geological and botanical specificities that characterize mountain ecosystems.
The first training module of the Master aims to offer a reference framework of the mountain context in which students will have to operate in the management of European funds and projects relating to support measures for the Italian mountains.
