Research Laboratories in the Alpine Area (RE-SEARCH ALPS)

At the kickoff meeting held in Modena on the 6th of July, UNIMONT has launched the research and development activities within the European Research Program “Research Laboratories in the Alpine Area (RE-SEARCH ALPS)” supported bu the Program Connecting Europe Facility 2014-2020 (GA N. INEA / CEF / ICT / A20126 / 1296967) and proposed in close connection with the objectives set by EUSALP Action Group 1 in Research and Innovation.
Together with the University of Milan, the consortium is composed of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia – the Department of Engineering as Lead Leader, the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research, the Ministère de l’éducation nationale, de l’enseignement supérieur et de la recherche francese, the Data Publica-C-Radar.

The aim of the project is to know and map – also with a semantic research – all the Research Centers and Laboratories operating in the 7 countries and 48 regions of the Alpine Macroregion in order to get an overview of the actors working in different Areas of Research and Innovation and their specificity and performance. This will stimulate the creation of cross-national networks (eg functional for European design), facilitate the access to services that Centers / Labs already offer or can provide, activate collaboration on important issues of common concern (eg change Climate, energy), enable a medium to long-term economic and strategic planning where research and companies work together. The project results will be immmediatly available on the EUSALP Knowledge Platform as open data accessible via the 3D map of the Alpine Region, free for all users.
